Stone House Bread - Real Leelanau Sourdough Bread

Great with Bread Items

At Stone House Bread, we promote our local agriculture. We are proud of the flavors of our local fruits and prefer to let that taste be predominantly fruit, so we use less sugar (or no sugar) than commercially produced preserves.

Commercial preserves use fruits that are picked green and shipped from perhaps hundreds of miles away to the location where they are made. The fruit never ripens fully in transit, and the jam maker must add a variety of sugars to mask the lack of true flavor. Our Stone House Preserves begin with fruit from our local orchards that is fully ripened and brimming with the natural characteristic fruit flavors at harvest.

Tart Cherry Preserves

A regional classic! Nearly one in four acres of tart cherries nationwide are found right her in Leelanau County. The textures are intriguing with generous amounts of fruit in every jar.
